The Umbwe Route is the steepest, shortest, and most challenging route to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. It is known for its direct and rapid ascent, making it less ideal for acclimatization. However, it offers spectacular scenery and a true adventure for experienced climbers.
PROGRAM
Day 1: Moshi to Mandara Hut (2,700m)
Day 2: Mandara Hut to Horombo Hut (3,720m)
Day 3: Acclimatization at Horombo Hut (optional)
Day 4: Horombo Hut to Kibo Hut (4,700m)
Day 5: Summit to Uhuru Peak (5,895m) and descend to Horombo Hut
Day 6: Horombo Hut to Moshi
